GORDON CYRIL SHEPPARD
SHEPPARD, GORDON CYRIL Gordon C. Sheppard of Nackawic passed away March 14, 2003 at Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Grand Falls, Newfoundland on August 7, 1937, he was a son of the late Frederick and Minnie (Watkins) Sheppard. Gordon served in the Canadian Armed Forces until 1960 and then was employed as a pipefitter in pulp mills in Saint John, Terrace Bay, Ontario and retired from St. Anne Nackawic Pulp Company in Nackawic. He was a member of Cursillo and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Josephine T. (Sweeney) Sheppard; a daughter, Cathy Tapley (Andrew), Woodstock; two sons, Tony Sheppard (Evelyn) and Sean Sheppard (Tracey), both of Edmonton, Alberta; a brother, William Sheppard, Grand Falls, Newfoundland; a sister, Audrey Hiscock, Grand Falls, Newfoundland; six grandchildren, Clinton, Melissa, Samantha, James, Adam and Alexander; several nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by two sisters, Melvene Sheppard and Marion Kierstead and five brothers, Edward, Maxwell, Reginald, Colin and Art. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Nackawic on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 11 a.m. by Rev. Dan Melanson. Interment will be later at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery
