MISS DAISY HAMILTON MITCHELL

MITCHELL, MISS DAISY HAMILTON Miss Daisy Hamilton Mitchell of Doaktown, NB, passed away suddenly, Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born August 30, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Elroy (Roy) Mitchell and Etta Maude (MacDonald) Mitchell. She is survived by sisters Alethea (Lee) Arbeau of Moncton; Frances Hinchey of York Manor, Fredericton; Jennie Mehan of Penticton, BC, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters Veta and Laura and brothers George, Blair (killed in action in WWII), Ken and Ralp, infants William and Margaret. Daisy was a gentle soul who enjoyed the simplicities of life, such as watching the squirrel in her backyard, or sitting in her rocking chair on her front verandah in the summer, drawing her pictures and she was especially proud to be named after Dr. Hamilton, having been born on his birthday. Daisy Hamilton Mitchell is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 2 p.m. from St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown with Rev. Heather Froats officiating. Burial in the church cemetery in the spring. At the request of the family donations to Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
