B. BLAINE LESTER

LESTER, B. BLAINE The passing of B. Blaine Lester of Fredericton occurred at his residence on Friday, April 4, 2003. He was 74. Born in Arborfield, Saskatchewan, he was a son of the late Lorne and Leora (Roe) Lester. A veteran of WWII, Blaine served 25 years in the Canadian Army and 3 years with the Merchant Navy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 15, Marysville. Blaine attended Smythe Street Cathedral. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Maxine A. (Donovan) Lester; two sons, Michael of Edmonton, Alberta and Trevan of Oromocto; one daughter, Krisann Gagnon of Marysville; four grandchildren, Terry Gagnon, Michelle King, Nichole King and Tasha Murray; four brothers, Charles (Sylvia) of Saskatchewan, Phillip (Shirley), Marvin (Mary) and Irvin (Pat) all of BC; two sisters, Enid Mitchell of Saskatchewan and Jean Schmidt (Gilbert) of Missouri, USA; nieces and nephews. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to celebrate the life of Blaine Lester to be held from Smythe Street Cathedral on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Verner Drost will officiate assisted by Rev. Jim Lewis. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Extra Mural or Smythe Street Cathedral.
