MACPHERSON, HARRY GEORGE The death of Harry George MacPherson of Harvey Station, husband of Jacqueline (Hughes) MacPherson, occurred on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Marysville, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Hansen) MacPherson. Mr. MacPherson was formerly employed with the Government of Canada for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Todd MacPherson (Sandra) of Fredericton and Andrew MacPherson (Monique) of Moncton; a daughter, Lynn MacPherson (Mack) of Fredericton; brothers Kent MacPherson (Blanche) of Jemseg and Steven MacPherson (Sharon) of Fredericton; grandchildren Scott and Craig MacPherson; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Mr. MacPherson was predeceased by his brother, David. Harry had an extended family of much importance in his life. They were Tammy and Dexter Greer, a dear friend from childhood Dale White; his "on the road" buddy Leroy Swan. To many of his golfing partners he was known as "Uncle" Harry. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Sunday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Rev. Laurie Fenerty will officiate. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
