ARDEAN EDNA BROOKS
BROOKS, ARDEAN EDNA Ardean (Dow) Brooks of Bristol passed away peacefully on April 28 at York Manor in Fredericton. The daughter of the late Earl and Clara (Wasson) Dow, she was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1977. She is survived by sisters Laveta Kilcollins, Fredericton, Glenna Rich, Los Angeles, Evelyn Foisy, Springfield, Mass, and Leona (Paul) Hill of Nashua New Hampshire. Though never blessed with children of her own, Ardean was a loving and proud aunt to Sonja (Robert) Lind, Donald (Lee) Cook, Ronald (Cathy) Rich, Suzanne (Arden) Jones, Janice (Joe) Gethins, Paul (Carole) Hill, and Barbara (Brock) Putney. She has numerous great-neices and nephews. She was predeceased by niece Joanne Hill and nephews Frederick and Wayne Kilcollins. A homemaker most of her life, Ardean was known for her delicious home cooking, her generous nature, and for her devout commitment to her church. She was blessed with kind friends and neighbours, and with loving angels caring for her the past three years while she lived at York Manor. Visitation will be on Friday May 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Kilcollins Funeral Home in Bath. The funeral will be held at the Free Will Baptist Church in Bristol on Saturday May 3 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to York Manor Solarium or a charity of the donor's choice.
