GLADYS GRACE (COLLICOTT) LORETTE

LORETTE, GLADYS GRACE (COLLICOTT) Gladys Grace (Collicott) Lorette, aged 90, formerly of School Street, passed away peacefully at her home in the Pine Grove Nursing Home on May 9, 2003. Born in Dorrington Hill, NB, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Maria (Gallagher) Collicott. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Fredericton, and a retiree of Zeller's Limited, where she worked for more than 35 years. Gladys' strength, compassionate and loyalty were much admired, as were her spirit, sense of humour and appreciation of a good story. She was treasured by many family and friends who will miss her very much. Gladys is survived by her brother Gerald and his wife Esther, Halifax; nieces Ellen Berrie, South Harpswell, ME, Glenna (Bill) Blair, Ottawa and Kathryn (Melvin) MacGillivray, Ballantye's Cove, NS; nephews Herb (Betty), Fort McMurray, AB, Gilbert, Amherst, NS, Leslie (Marion), Deep River, ON, Winston (Debbie), Saint John, Wendell (Arlene), Fredericton and Michael, Moncton, and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Lorette; sisters Alice (Tapley), Agnes Ellen (Champoux) and Mary (Kipp); brothers Manus, Frank and Fred; and nephews Manus Jr. and Randy. Friends may pay their respects at Bishop's Funeral Home, Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Monday, May 12 from 3:30-5:00 pm or 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Union Street, Fredericton on Tuesday, May 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Canterbury, NB.
