GREENWOOD, Pictou County - Frank William Rogers, age 78, of Greenwood, Pictou County passed away on Saturday April 28, 2007, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Thorburn Frank was a son of the late Edward and Mary (Boutilier) Rogers. Frank lived all of his married life in Greenwood and spent his early years in Thorburn. He was a self employed trucking contractor. Frank enjoyed gardening, carpentry and loved to travel; he also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides being a devoted husband, father and grandfather, Frank was a kind and caring person and was a friend to all who had an opportunity to know him. He was a member of St.Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanette Carroll, formerly of College Grant; daughter, Debbie (Brian) Sehn of St. Albert, Alberta; sons: Brian (Trudy) of Thorburn, Dennis (Judith), Ian (Sherry), Richard, all of MacLellan's Mountain; grandchildren: Mathew and Nicole Sehn, Donnie and Amanda Fraser, Sherry Rogers, Jenny Rogers, Danielle and Brett Rogers, Brittany and Amber Rogers, Brook Rogers, Adam and Chad Rogers and their mother Annie; brothers, Roy Rogers of Stellarton, Jerry (Ruth) Rogers of Thorburn, Ted (Dorothy) Rogers of Westville; sisters, Kathleen Vacheresse of Thorburn, Virginia Heighton of Stellarton. Frank was predeceased by a son, George; sisters, Rita Gynes, Tina Urquhart and Patsy McCann; a brother, Harry Rogers Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral Mass will be held 1O:30 a.m. on Wednesday from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn, with Father Bobby Day officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Diabetic Association or to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
