RICKARD, DOUGLAS PAT The death of Douglas Pat Rickard of Fredericton, husband of Dorothy (Williston) Rickard, occurred on May 17, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Sydney and Clara (Curtis) Rickard. Douglas worked as a General Merchant Manager and Owner of Model Meat Market in Barker's Point, NB. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Joy Albright of Fredericton; son Donald (Dan) Rickard and his wife Karen; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Roy, Henry and Wilfred Rickard, and three sisters Alberta Horncastle, Clara Hay and Violet Clark. Our family is grateful to Rollie Rickard for care, concern, visits, and affection for our dad - for being there over the years. Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, May 19 at 1 PM with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton.
