It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Stephen French announce his passing at The University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the age of 43 years. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Carleen Emily French of Stephenville; his parents: Bill and Norma French of Kippens; two brothers: Jamey (Jeanette) French of Corner Brook and Kevin Christian (Ruby Lainey) of Cape St. George; three sisters: Anita (Gerard) Pomeroy of Stephenville, Elaine (Keith) Layden of Corner Brook and Patty (Glenn) Leroy of Lloydminster, Alberta and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Bob French. Rested at Russell's Funeral Home. Funeral service took place Friday, May 30, at St. Stephen's Parish, Stephenville. Cremation followed. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Daffodil House would be greatly appreciated.
