WESTVILLE - Georgina "Gena" Ann St. Jean (nee Ormrod), 56, of Westville Road. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gena on July 9, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in the Aberdeen Hospital, on January 4, 1951, she was a daughter of Bertha (MacDonald) Ormrod, Westville Road, and the late George E. "Pudge" Ormrod. She lived in Pictou County most of her life, with a brief time living in Quebec where she married Phillippe St. Jean. Gena was a member of the Holy Name Parish, Westville. She worked many different places including KFC, Clairtone, and Sunset Haven. She courageously battled Scleroderma. She always could have a smile and make others laugh. Her wonderful sense of humour got her through many difficult times. She was a fighter and survivor 'til the end. Besides her mother, she is survived by her only daughter, Cheralyn, and granddaughter, Kristina , New Glasgow; sisters, Audrey Dowell (Arthur), Green Hill; Linda Broda (Ron), B.C.; brother, Michael (Sandra), New Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father George; brother, David; and two infant nephews. Visitations will be held 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The Holy Name C.W.L. will recite prayers at 4 o'clock Wednesday at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville, with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care, V.O.N., or the Scleroderma Foundation.
