GRANT, DOROTHY Dorothy Grant died December 5, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, BC after having a stroke on November 25th. Dorothy was born near Canterbury, NB and married Kenneth Grant in 1931. They had three daughters and lived in Canterbury until 1958 when they moved to Fredericton. Kenneth died in 1967. Dorothy lived in Fredericton until 1998 when she moved to Comox to be near her daughters, Terry in Comox and Joy in Nanaimo. She lived with Terry and family two years and the last two in her own apartment close to Terry. She enjoyed her two great grandchildren, Kyle and Draya. Her dog Simba and cat Riley also became a very important part of her life. Dorothy had many friends in Comox, Nanaimo and Fredericton and will be missed by all. She lived 86 years of her life in New Brunswick and although she enjoyed living on Vancouver Island near her daughters, her heart was always in New Brunswick. Surviving her are three daughters, Joy (Gray), Nanaimo, BC, Viv (Gerry), Picton, Ontario and Terry (Bill), Comox, BC; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a half sister, Shirley in Maryland, two sisters-in-law, Ethel in Woodstock, NB and Peggy in Utah. A grave side service will be held at the Canterbury Cemetery on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at 1 p.m. with a reception following in St. Mark's United Church hall.
