THOMAS, GEORGE L. The passing of George L. Thomas of Gagetown, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, June 15, 2003 at the age of 72. Born in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late George Arthur and Anne (Pelley) Thomas. George was a member of the RCMP for 35 1/2 years. He had a great passion for sports, especially hockey, which he played, coached and watched as a fan. He is survived by his wife Lona Thomas; four children Charles (Eva) of Mississauga, Ontario, Lori Thomas of Woodstock, Todd (Lisa) of Woodstock, Peter (Heather) of Dawson Creek, BC; five grandchildren; a sister Audrie (Mac) Pearston of Burlington, Ontario; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Bob. No visitation by request of the family. A private memorial service will be held.
