WAUGH, DARRELL FREDERICK Age 76 of Douglas, beloved husband of Zada (Griffiths), passed away suddenly at his home on June 23, 2003. He was the son of the late Howard and Eugenia (Currie) Waugh. He will be sadly missed by 3 sons, Durwood (Donna) of Lake Echo, NS, Duane (Gail) of Riverview, NB, Rodney of Vancouver, BC, 1 daughter, Bonnie (Ben) of Douglas, NB, 8 grandchildren, Kevin, Christopher, Greg, Christy, Shawn, Michelle, Steven, Scott; 6 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Brittany, Cameron, Cole, Dustin and Jaiden, numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by 5 brothers, Lloyd, Allison, Doug, Melvin and Bill; 2 sisters Mavis and Ann. Predeceased by his parents, 2 infant sisters, Gweneth and Carolyn and Leone Townsend (who passed away on June 22, 2003). He was a carpenter by trade and long time member of the U.C.T., an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a true Country Gentleman whose family and friends meant everything to him. He loved his land, planting a large garden every spring, cutting his own wood every fall. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. He was truly the sunshine of his family's life. He also loved the family and friends who frequently dropped in to visit him and Zada, sharing their funny stories. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Wednesday, June 25, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Douglas United Baptist Church on Thursday, June 26 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Horsman officiating. Interment to follow at Dayton Cemetery, Douglas.
