TRENTON – Georgina MacDonald “Jean” Cunningham, age 95, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, and formerly of Trenton, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 13, 2008, in the manor with family by her side. Born October 28, 1913, in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Henrietta (Bates) Fraser. Jean enjoyed playing darts at the Trenton Legion and visits from her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters: Barb (Hugh) Cameron, Sylvester; Arlene MacKenzie, Westville; Margie (Don) MacPherson, New Glasgow; son: Dan (Carolyn), Pictou Landing; special grandson, Lee (Krista), Trenton; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband James in 1988 and a sister Roberta. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory may be made to Glen Haven Manor Bus Fund or a charity of choice.
