FORBES, WINONA The death of Winona Forbes of Fredericton, wife of Clarence Forbes, occurred following a courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 22, 2003. Born in Nashwaak Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl I. (MacKay) McGivney. She was a devoted And loving wife,mother and grandmother to her family.Winona was a past member of UCW and she enjoyed traveling. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Douglas C. Forbes (Marlene) of Douglas, and Terry A. Forbes (Susan Beaumont) of Alberta; daughter, Beth W. Fenety (Linden) of New Maryland; eight grandchildren, Kyle and Sarah Forbes, Chelsea, Tamsin, and Tess Forbes, Justin, Josh, and Chantal Fenety; brother Charles McGivney (Doris) of Durham; sister Lorraine Fullarton (Paul) of Douglas; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by infant daughter Judith Anne; and two brothers, Bob and Malcolm (Mac). Although there will be no visitation, friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Friday, July 25 at 2:30 pm from Nashwaaksis United Church. Rev. Franklin Curtis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
