MCCANN, ELLEN MARY (HOGAN) Ellen Mary (Hogan) MCann of Fredericton Junction was called home on July 26, 2003 at the age of 85. Ellen was a founding member of St. Columba Altar Society and a devoted member of St. Columba Catholic Church. She was a home maker to her family, raised her brothers and sisters and ran the family store in Petersville. Her favorite pastimes were Bingo and playing cards. She is survived by her daughters Shirley (George) Boyle of Antigonish, Anne (Dean) Mott of Fredericton Junction, her sons Danny (Cathy) McCann of Tracy, Phillip (Gwen) McCann of Nerepis, Jerry (Debbie) McCann of Hoyt, daughter-in-law Tina McCann of Fredericton Junction, her grandchildren Corey (Kelley), Devin, Jason, Tim (Beth), Jennifer (Shawn), Shaun (Sarah), Michael, Nicholas (Nicole), Greg, Kendall, Ryan, Andy (Sara), Mark, Christopher, Scott, Steven (Jennifer), Jeff (Heather); great grandchildren Craig, James, Keltee and Liam; brothers Alfred (Marlene) Hogan of Toronto, Arthur (Doreen) Hogan of Enniskillen, Melville (Paddy) (Rose) Hogan of Charters Settlement, sisters Irene (William) Woagy of Saint John,Frances McSheffrey of Saint John, Catherine (Bartley) Owens of Haneytown; sisters-in-law Doris Hogan of Fredericton Junction, Anna (Jim) White of Fredericton, Mary (Clarence) Riley of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Jennie (Butler) and George Hogan, her husband Gerald McCann, sons Cedric and Kevin McCann, brother Herbert Hogan, sisters Mildred Breen and Vera O'Donnell, brothers-in-law Barry and Ralph McCann. The family invites relatives and friends to Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 29, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Ellen's funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Columba Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Ralph McRae officiating. Interment to follow in St. Columba Cemetery.
