DONNA MARIE BUTLER
BUTLER, DONNA MARIE The death of Donna Marie Butler of Fredericton, wife of the late Douglas R. Butler, occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Donald MacKenzie Kelly and Sunvie Catherine (Martin) Kelly. Donna was employed as an Adminstrative Assistant with the RCMP for over 25 years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed playing the fiddle with the band "RCMP and Friends", and was a past member of the Fredericton Civic Orchestra. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish. Donna is survived by her daughters, Susan Saunders (Kevin), Brenda Monteith, and Cheryl McCrea (Chipp), all of Fredericton; a brother, Danny Kelly (Connie) of Cambridge, Nova Scotia; a sister, Merla Spires (Melvin) of Fredericton; grandchildren Jaime-Leigh Monteith, Mark Saunders, Jeremy Saunders, Erin McCrea, and Alex McCrea; and several nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by a brother, Garnet Kelly. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM from St. Anthony's Church, 603 Union Street. The Celebrant will be Rev. Monte Peters. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetary. For those who wish, remembrances to St. Anthony's Parish or to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
