KEYS, ROBERT (BOB) The death of Robert Dallas Crawford Keys of Sussex, NB occurred peacefully at the Sussex Health Center on August 18, 2003 following heart surgery and six weeks in the ICU of the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 17, 1927 at Mount Middleton, NB, Bob was a son of the late Percy and Pearl (Crawford) Keys. He is survived by his wife Edris (McEwen),sons David (Mary), Daniel (Juanita) and Kevin; grandchildren Kelsey, Kaelan, Janelle, Rory, Dallas and Colin; sister Dorothy (Mrs. Albert Coates); sister-in-law Marguerite (Mrs. Murray Keys) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Susan, his brother Murray; his sister Lillian and her husband Ronald McMillan; and his brother-in-law Albert Coates. Bob had a varied career as a landscaper, stationary engineer, carpenter, nurseryman and woodsman. He was well known for his green thumb and loved to make things grow. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, his flower gardens, collecting antique hand tools and his morning coffee friends. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 12 Noon - 1:30 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, 2003 at Sussex Select Community Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex.
