New Glasgow – Grace Margery Ruth (Zinck) Jenkins, 86, New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Hazel (Zinck) Stapleton. Grace was a member of Trinity United Church and was active for many years with the UCW; was a Sunday School teacher and a CGIT Leader. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Jenkins and Marsha (Brian) MacLean, both of New Glasgow; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; half-brother, Miller (Harriett) Stapleton and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Trueman; half-brothers, William Stapleton and Robert Stapleton. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal service will be held for family and friends at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lorne Street Cemetery with Rev. Jim Webber-Cook officiating. Donations in Grace’s memory may be made to Trinity United Church, the VON or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
