GUIDA ALVERETTA COLTER
COLTER, GUIDA ALVERETTA The death of Guida Alveretta Colter, widow of the late Isaac Ralph Colter of Burtt's Corner, NB., died peacefully at York Manor Nursing Home August 19, 2003. Born in Upper Keswick, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Samantha (Drier) Brewer. She was a retired nurse and a member of Dorn Ridge Church of Christ and also attended Burtt's Corner Church of Christ. Mrs. Colter is survived by her chosen daughter, Norma VanBuskirk of Moncton; 12 nieces and nephews; Joyce Pugh, Burpee Jones, Kermit Brewer, Philip Brewer, Mahlon Brewer, Michael Brewer, Dale Brewer, Byard Corey, Lucille Boyatt, Irene Sweet, Ruby Miller, and Marie Stevenson; four grandchildren, Cheryl Sackville, Kevin VanBuskirk, William VanBuskirk, and Derek VanBuskirk; and eight great grandchildren, Sarah Sackville, Michael Sackville, Meghan McGraw, Jesse VanBuskirk, Julie VanBuskirk, Kate VanBuskirk, Olivia VanBuskirk, and William VanBuskirk. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by four brothers, Byard, Cyril, Claude, and Scott; five sisters, Opal, Vera, Pearl, Grace, and Gladys, and a stepson, Donald Colter. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Friday, August 22, 2003 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 4:00pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gordon Weatherby officiating. Interment will follow in the Mouth of Keswick Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Church of Christ, Dorn Ridge, or to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
