IDA MARIE BRIDEAU
BRIDEAU, IDA MARIE The death of Ida Marie Brideau of Scotchtown, wife of Dosithe "Dusty" Brideau, occurred on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Inkerman, she was the daughter of Dorina (Kenny) Gibbs of Four Roads and the late Alfred Gibbs. Ida was a Business Representative for NB Tel. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed crafts, painting, flower gardening, knitting, and quilting. In addition to her husband and mother, Ida is survived by two sons, Michael (Allison) and Marc (Leah) both of Hanwell; one daughter Deborah Ann of Fredericton; five grandchildren, Jessica, Stacey, Danielle, Sebastien, and Madeleine; two brothers, Edward Gibbs (Elizabeth) of Bathurst and Wilburt Gibbs (Kathleen) of Quebec City; three sisters Olla Twombly (Shane) of Windsor, ON, Thelma Bulger (Rheal) of Tracadie, and Alfreda Savoie (Hazen) of Buctouche; and several nieces and nephews including special niece Karen LaRose. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 2 pm from Holy Family Parish Church with Rev. J.J. Dolan as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Cancer Research or the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
