CONSTANCE GERTRUDE "CONNIE" ARNOLD

ARNOLD, CONSTANCE GERTRUDE "CONNIE" The death of Constance Gertrude "Connie" (Hamilton) Arnold of Fredericton, wife of the late John Hayward Arnold, occurred on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Penniac, she was the daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Mary Pearl (Walker) Hamilton. Connie was retired from Capital Co-op. She enjoyed needlework and was a life and charter member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxillary, Branch # 15. Mrs. Arnold is survived by four sons, Allan (Diane) of Waterloo, ON, Glendon (Pat) of Marysville, Richard (Cheryl) of Devon, and Fred (Carol) of Marysville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one brother Cecil Hamilton (Jessie) of Fredericton; sonin-law Phillip Beatty of Moncton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Beatty; one infant daughter, Shirley Mae Arnold; one infant grandson, Robert Hayward Arnold; one granddaughter, Tammy Joy Arnold; one brother, Gerald Hamilton; and three sisters, Margaret Hamilton, Edith Hamilton, and Helen Pond. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Royal Canadian Legion Ladies' Auxiliary will conduct a tribute service at York Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 7pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 pm from Marysville United Church with Rev. Boyd Vincent and Dr. Norman J. Whitney officiating. Interment will follow in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Stephen Arnold, Mark Arnold, Allan Arnold, Jonathan Brewer, Tony Arnold, and Billy Arnold. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Marysville United Church, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
