DALE MACKAY
MACKAY, DALE The death of Dale MacKay, husband of Sylvia (Calhoun) MacKay occurred on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at his residence in Hayesville, NB. Born in Hayesville NB, he was the son of the late Howard B. and Vesta (Pond) MacKay. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Department of Transportation where he was employed for thirty two years. He also enjoyed spending time with his son Donnie restoring his fifty-six Chevy. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Donnie MacKay (Wilma) of Parker 's Ridge, and Kent MacKay of Hayesville; one daughter Carol-Ann Elliott (Trevor) of Hayesville; four grandchildren Chantelle Elliott, Dryden Elliott, Gavin MacKay, Tarik MacKay, and another one on the way; three brothers Wesley MacKay (Roberta) of Hayesville, William MacKay (Joan) of Hayesville, and Harding MacKay (Maizie) of Hayesville; three sisters Velma Clowater of Boiestown, Eva Stewart of Hayesville, and Marie Clowater of Gordonsville Virginia, USA; one sister in-law Ellen Mackay of Boiestown and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Howard Burton "Burt" MacKay, and Theodore MacKay; two sisters Pearl Sansom, and Bernice MacKay and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at his residence at 699 Bloomfield Ridge Road, Hayesville NB, on Monday August 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2pm from the Boiestown Pentecostal Church with Pastor Robert Hanson officiating and Pastor Roger Gardner assisting. Burial will follow in the Parker's Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Howard MacKay, Brent MacKay, Roger MacKay, Steven MacKay, Carl Humble, and Blake Munn. Honourary pallbearers will be Jerry Munn, Keith Harris, Harry MacLeod, Kent Calhoun, Spencer Price, Doug MacKay, and Trevor Elliott, Harland MacKay, Jean MacLellan, Rex MacKay, and George MacLellan.
