THOMPSON, DAVID "DAVE" The death of Dave Thompson of Burton, NB occurred on Friday, August 29th, 2003 at his residence. Born in East Pubnico Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Franklin and Veta (Goodwin) Thompson and husband of Hazel Thompson. Dave was a member of the Burton Lions Club, Oromocto Legion Branch # 93 and the Southern New Brunswick Trucker's Association. Dave also served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 32 years. Survived by his wife Hazel of Burton, NB; one daughter, Crystal Cavanaugh (Allen) of Oromocto, NB and one grandson David; two brothers, Robert (Anne) of British Columbia, George (June) of Lawrencetown, NS; one sister, Helen Brown (William) of Granville Center, NS and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother John. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30th, 2003 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, August 31st, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 1st, 2003 at 2:00 pm from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Burton Cemetery.
