ALBERT LEONARD CLARK

CLARK, ALBERT LEONARD Albert (Dolph) L. Clark, formerly of Temple passed away August 31, 2003 at Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Victoria Mills on September 19, 1910, he was the last surviving member of the family of Harry Seymore and Mary Anne (Morgan) Clark. Albert was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in Europe with the Canadian Armoured Corps, Gunnery Wing from 1942 to 1946. He was a member of the Southampton Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion from 1956 to 1981. Albert was employed with the UNB Security Force for several years, retiring in 1973. While in Fredericton he attended St. Margaret's Chapel of Ease in Forest Hill and was also a member and deacon of the Reformed Baptist Church in Meductic. He was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. He is survived by two daughters, Georgie Ann Potter (Robert), Harvey Station and Carolyn Davis (Herbert Williams), Dowville-Temple; three sons, Charles Clark (Dianne), Grand BayWestfield, Basil Clark (Elizabeth), McKenna and H. David Clark (Debbie), Hanwell; a sister-in-law, Mayme Clark, Fredericton; 17 grandchildren;23 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his wife, Luella (Mason) Clark in 1992, five brothers, Frank, Ralph, William, Stanley and Edward and seven sisters, Edith Sloat (Kenneth), Laura Delong (Stanley), Elizabeth (Bessie), Sarah (Sadie) Barrett (William), Ethel Tims (Lewis) and Margaret Bailey (Edward). Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Barry officiating, assisted by Rev. Kenneth Banks. Interment will follow at Hillman Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7 p.m. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Albert, the family has suggested the Hillman Cemetery, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Carleton Manor or Saint Mary The Virgin Anglican Church Building Fund, Benton.
