FREEMAN, EARL DOUGLAS The death of Earl Douglas Freeman of Geary, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Saturday, September 20, 2003. Born in North Kingston, NS, he was the son of the late Bradford and Rita (England) Freeman, and the husband of Mary (Grant) Freeman. Earl served in the Military in Germany and Cypress. He was a Corporal with Black Watch 2nd Battalion RHC (Royal Highlanders of Canada) and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 for over twenty five years and was a member of the Black Watch. Survived by his wife Mary; one son, Robert (Pauline) of Debert, NS; one daughter, Brenda Sansom (Todd) of Charters Settlement, four grandchildren, Brittany and Tina Sansom, Cody and Devon Freeman; two brothers, Robie of Kingston, NS, and Donald of Middleton, NS; three sisters, Florence Acker (Elthen) of Kingston, NS, Maxine MacDonald (Joseph) of Kentville, NS and Barbara Acker (Russell) of Middleton, NS; mother-in- law Stella Grant, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, one brother, Ralph Freeman. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, September 22nd, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will hold a tribute service at the funeral home Monday evening at 7:00 pm followed by the Black Watch tribute. The funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Interment will be in the Preston Carr Cemetery.
