WILLIS, C. MURRAY The death of C. Murray Willis of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Edna Ethel (Peirce) Willis occurred on Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Miah and Bessie (Sharp) Willis. Mr. Willis was a retired carpenter and had served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 3 years. He was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher for 60 years, leader of the Sigma "C" Boys Club. Mr. Willis is survived by two daughters, Ruth Corey and Rose Bird (Gary) both of Fredericton; three sons, Ralph (Pauline) and Richard (Anne) both of Fredericton and David (Donna) of Surrey, BC; six grandchildren, Derrick Willis (Terri), Tony Corey, Jon and James Willis, Corey and Alesia Willis; two sisters, Mabel Rosborough and Helen Pond all of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Nellie Ross and Bessie Billings; two brothers, Walter and Barry. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Thursday, September 25, 2003 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2003 at 11 am from the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas Rural Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are: Wayne Waugh, Don Parent, Tony Corey, Derrick Willis, James Willis and Jon Willis.
