Cummer, Hazel Doreen (Mingo), 77, Hilden, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Steele) Mingo. Hazel loved having her children, grandchildren, friends and family visit with her. She is survived by her husband, George; daughters, Georgie Blenkhorn (Stephen), Truro, Carolin (Joe) Palmer, North Battleford, Sask; son, Clifford (Louella), Belmont; five sisters; seven brothers; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter Ruth and son-in-law David Blenkhorn; son, David; granddaughter, Kimberly; sister, Kathleen Taylor; brothers, Edward, Tommy and Gordie. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5th from 7 to 9 p.m. with a funeral service Thursday, 6th at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. Interment in Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
