POND, HANNAH W. Mrs. Hannah W. Pond, widow of Donald M. Pond of Ludlow, NB passed away Friday, October 17, 2003 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 84. Born in Russellville, NB, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Ruby (Russell) Loggie. She was a homemaker and a cook. She was a member of United Baptist Church, Ludlow, member of Women's Missionary Society United Baptist Church, Ludlow Baptist Church Choir, member of Women's Missionary Institute of Ludlow. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was very creative in needle work and quilting. She is survived by two daughters; Barbara O'Donnell (Patrick) of Glenwdood; Mildred Edghill of Cambridge, ON; two sons; Harry (Janice) Pond of Ludlow; Lorne (Genevra) Pond of Oakville, ON; five sisters; Bernice Campbell, Thelma Sobey, Shirley Jardine, Willa Jardine, Junita Somers; three brothers; Melvine Loggie, Leigh Loggie, John Loggie Jr., 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald M. Pond in 1973, one brother Boyd Loggie, one son-in-law; Bruce Edghill, one step grandson Michael O'Donnell. Mrs. Hannah W. Pond is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown with visitation on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Ludlow United Baptist Church, with Rev. Harold Price officiating. Burial to follow in the family plot of the church cemetery. At the request of the family donations to Miramichi Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unite or Ludlow United Baptist Church would be appreciated.
