CURTIS, ELSIE JEANNETTE The death of Elsie Jeannette Curtis, formerly of Douglas, wife of the late Emerson (Dick) Curtis occurred on October 29, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Priceville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Edith (Price) Munn. She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed watching cooking shows and baking. She is survived by two sons, Robert Curtis (Judith) of Nashwaaksis and Billy Curtis (Susan) of Charters Settlement; three daughters, Judith Knox (Brian) of Fredericton, Linda Waugh (Bill) of Carlisle Road and Cynthia Curtis of Bedford, NS; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; six brothers, Russell Wheeler (Elizabeth) of Boiestown, James Munn of Taxis River, Perley Munn of British Columbia, Carl Bruce (Joyce), Earl Bruce (Etta) and Lawrence Bruce all of Taxis River; two sisters, Edith Simond (Fraser) of Fredericton and Flossie Lovelace (Lawrence) of Taxis River; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Curtis was predeceased by one brother, Blake Bruce and one sister, Kay Getson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Friday from 2 to 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 11 am from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB with Rev. R. T. Benson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. Pallbearers for the service are: Darrin Knox, Steven Knox, Dustin Curtis, Troy Whittaker, Mark Beers and Allen Jarvis. Honourary Pallbearers are: Andrew Curtis and Shawn Linden. For those who wish, remembrances to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
