CHAPMAN, JAMES HARVEY The death of James Harvey Chapman of Minto, NB, occurred Wednesday,October 29, 2003 at the Queen's North Health Complex, Minto, NB. Born in Emerson, Kent Co., he was the son of the late Sylvanis and Enid (Fairfield) Chapman. Jimmy was a Sargent Major serving with the North Shore Regiment during WWII. A retired dragline operator, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 12, the Grand Lake Masonic Lodge and the Orange Lodge. Survived by his loving wife Kathryn (Tissington) Chapman of Minto; a son, Rodney Chapman (Karen) of Albrights Corner, a step-son, Kim Stilwell (Nancy) of Oromocto; two step-daughters, Carla Carney (Rodney) of St. Andrews and Jocelyn Boucher (Emile) of Minto; two sisters, Bessie Briggs (Charlie) of Saint John and Doris MacDonald (Hazen) of Nackawic; a speical niece Bernice Coburn (Ervine) of New Zion; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Kristopher Chapman; six step-grandchildren, Melissa, Talia and Logan Carney, Kendra, Brandon and Nicole Boucher and Hilary Stilwell. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his first wife Lillian (Purves) Chapman; two sisters, Viola Chapman and Jennie Fitzgerald. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home, 327-3490 with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2003 from Trinity United Church with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Interment will follow in the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension. For those who wish, donations made to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
