CLARKE, DAVID GOODSPEED (A proud veteran of WWII - with the Canadian Armed Forces 1943 - 1945). Peacefully, after a lengthy illness at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday, October 3, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Dave, who enjoyed travelling, and helping with carpentry work and hands on skills for many churches and community groups, from New Brunswick to Ontario, to Connecticut and Florida and the vast network in between. He will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered by his relatives, friends and extended family throughout his travelling network. A special thank you is extended to Heather Richards of the Regional Cancer Centre, Rev. Doug Wilson, the doctors, nurses and staff of Connell 4 at K.G.H. for their loving care, compassion and extra support shown to David. Following David's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held in the Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, Township Chapel, 435 Davis Dr. (Waterloo Village) on Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 1 p.m. His urn will be interred at the National War Veteran Plot, Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa.
