JEAN MARGARET Jean ROBISON

ROBISON, JEAN MARGARET Jean Margaret (Bull) Robison, widow of the late C. Edwin Robison, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2003 at her home at 235 Parkhurst Drive, in Fredericton, following a brief illness. Born in McAdam on February 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Moffitt) and Herbert C. Bull. Jean received her early education in McAdam, NB, before attending NB Normal School and UNB. She was dedicated and respected teacher in r ural NB schools. Jean was an active member of St. Paul's United Church (UCW), St. Andrew's United Church in Harvey, I.O.D.E. and the Capital Y'sj Menettes Club. Married to Edwin for 58 years, her happiest times were summers spent at their cottage on Harvey Lake. While enjoying baseball and hockey games, Jean's hands were never idle. Countless samples of her needlework will be lovingly cherished by her family. She will be forever missed by her children: Dr. Wayne (Sheila Ashfield) Robison, of Napanee, ON; Brenda (Richard Tingley) of Fredericton; Susan (Rodney Cox) of Saint John; and Nancy (Michael Jardine) of Mississauga, ON. "Grammie Jean" was very proud of her grandchildren: Jennifer (Matthew Rockall), Victoria (Galen Peters) and Jill (Michael Atkinson) Robison; Lana (Patrick Lacroix), Joel (Melanie) and Patricia (Dr. Scott Worley) Tingley; Dr. Heather (Peter Huestis) and Megan Cox and Emily and Kate Jardine. More recently, two great-grandchildren, Samuel Tingley and Pascale Lacroix were a source of joy to her. Jean is also fondly remembered by her sister, Ruth (the late Earl) Elliott of Charlottetown, PEI; brothers Jack (Jean) Bull of Hamilton, ON and Dr. Ralp Bull of London, ON; sister-in-law Jean Bull (the late Herbert), ON; sister-in-law Ruth Robison (the late Gilbert) of Harvey Station, as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Rev. Herbert Bull; her sister, Pauline (the late Leland) Longstaff; and her infant grandson, Stephen Jardine. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the dedicated love and care shown to their mother by her homecare workers (Gladys Storey, Phyllis Schwartz, Juanita Boone, Rose Jones, Kelly Forsyth, Gertrude Corbett and Carolin Gilks), the extra-mural nurses, and Dr. Ian MacDonald. Family and friends may visit Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton (506-458-1885) on Thursday, November 20, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Bradley Little from St. Paul's United Church on Friday, November 21st at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Robison Family Cemetery, Campburn Farm, Harvey Station.
