MITCHELL, CLARA ELIZABETH The death of Clara Elizabeth Mitchell of Fredericton, wife of Waldo Mitchell, occurred on Monday, December 1, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Amanda "Mandy" (Lyons) Amos. Clara was a member of Marysville United Church, where she was Past President of the U.C.W, Past Treasurer, a Lifetime member of Session and a former member of the I.O.D.E. Besides her husband, Clara is survived by three daughters, Donna Mitchell of Fredericton, Janet Mitchell of Fredericton, Cindy Mason (Jack) of Douglas; two grandchildren, Katie Russell-Mason and Adam RussellMason; one sister, Isabelle Scott of Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, Calvin Amos and Alonzo (Lonnie) Russell. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Norman Whitney officiating. Interment will follow in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery in Marysville.
