James Alan Gordon, age 50, Westville, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, April 27, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Doug and Muriel (Fraser) Gordon. Jim is survived by sisters: Mona MacNeill (Jim), New Minas; Debbie (Robert Greenslade), Greenwich; Barbara, New Glasgow; Patsy Smith (Craig), Dartmouth; Joan Robinson (Steven), Sherbrooke; June Hall (Sean), New Germany; brothers, Bobby (Kathy), Gairloch; Gordon Graham (Raylene), Merigomish; Ralph MacKeeman (Charlotte), Linacy; former wife, Janie and special son Robbie Gordon, Westville; extended family, Denise and Alan Royles and Ronald Lewis, Pictou. Jim was predeceased by his sister Mary Vacheresse. He was well known by his talents in glass and upholstery and was employed with Pictou County Glass for thirty years. He was also known for his sense of humour and kindness. “Jim Bob” will be missed by all. Visitations will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Cremation will follow.
