James Alexander MacKenzie age 85 of Little Harbour Road New Glasgow passed away on Sunday November 25th, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville he was a son of the late John( Jack) and Elsie (Dowell) MacKenzie. He was a lifelong resident of Little Harbour Road. During his working years he worked in the machine shop at the Trenton Car Works. James enjoyed reading, travelling, along with wood carving and a good game of auction 45’s. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow. Surviving are sisters: Dorothy Wagner of Brampton, Ont.; Ethel Mitton of Little Harbour Road; Betty (John) Lewis of Little Harbour Road; Jean Swiech of Waterford Ont. A brother David MacKenzie of Wilmont, N.S. A number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter Arlene. His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home for visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7to 9 p.m. Monday, from where funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Sand officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
