HOWLAND, RUBY VELMA At York Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, January 3, 2004, Ruby Velma Howland, age 89, of Fredericton, passed away. Born in Staples Settlement, NB, she was a member of the Women's Missionary Society; Ladies Aid and a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Bernus; two sisters, Phyllis Houle (Kenneth) and Evangeline King (Sterling); three sisters-in-law Pearl, Jean and Mary; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Allan Stuart and Jane Elivia (Nason) Brawn; her first husband Stanley Kitchen; brothers Samuel, Lorne, Marcus, William, Donald, Lloyd, Rev. Norwood and John Brawn; sisters Pearl Jones, Irma McKay, Geraldine Knox, Lois Brawn. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road with visitation Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Bishop's Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Interment will be held at Prince William Cemetery, in the spring.
