James Haines
Passed on: September 22nd, 2008
Watervale, Pictou County – On September 22, 2008, the family of James Haines gave him into God’s hands, after complications from a kidney transplant operation James had six years ago. Eight years ago, a special little boy came into our lives. His little smile and laughter lit up our world and got us through the tough times we faced. James touched many lives during his short life, the staff at the I.W.K., staff at the Aberdeen Hospital, teachers, friends and family. His love of life was seen in his passion for school, four wheeling with his Dad, Thomas Tank Engine, playing video games with his cousin, Kyle, and especially his love of watching Tony Stewart racing on TV. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Paul and Sarah (MacDonald) Haines, Watervale; his sister, Emily, at home; his maternal grandmother, Thelma MacDonald, Watervale; paternal grandmother, Edith (Haines) Humber, Port Bickerton; maternal great-grandmother, Edith Palethorpe, Truro; uncles and aunts, Richard (Gail) Haines, Truro; Jerry (Cecila) Haines, MacPherson’s Mills; Jamie (Kelly) MacDonald, Mount Thom; Jeannie (Tommy) Fraser, Watervale; cousins, Derek and Justin Haines; Katherine and Kevin Haines; Kyle, Carrie and Rebecca Fraser; Jordan, Rachel and Ben MacDonald. James was predeceased by his grandfathers, Gerald Haines and Bert MacDonald. Visitations will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. from St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, Salt Springs, with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Salt Springs. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to any children’s charity.
