BYRON PHILLIPS FLETCHER

FLETCHER, BYRON PHILLIPS Byron P. Fletcher of Meductic passed away January 21, 2004 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fredericton on September 23, 1926, he was a son of the late Guy and Alice (Phillips) Fletcher. Byron worked at NB Tel for 43 years and retired in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Wyona J. (Lynt) Fletcher; four sons, Byron Jr. (Carole), Calgary, Alberta, Leo (Helen), New Glasgow, NS, David (Micheline), Meductic and Robert (Shelley), Oromocto; a daughter, Mary Davidson (Robert), Meductic; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Earle and Ronald (Barbara), both of Fredericton; a sister, Beulah Fletcher, Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. Byron was predeceased by a son, Peter, two brothers, Keith and John. There will be no visitation at Byron's request. All family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Meductic Baptist Church on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dale Greer officiating. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be later at Upper Meductic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Davidson, Jamie Fletcher, Tony Fletcher, Rob Powell and Andrew Billings. No flowers by request. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Byron, the family has suggested the Upper Meductic Cemetery, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
