GIBSON, MELVIN "WIMP" DAVIS The death of Melvin "Wimp" Davis Gibson of Naskwaak Bridge, NB, husband of Erma (Hunter) Gibson occurred on January 25, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Taxis River, he was the son of the late Charles and Laura (Davis) Gibson. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar in church, the outdoors, camping and most of all he loved his time spent with family. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son David Gibson of Calgary; three daughters Katherine (Vernon) Rankin of Magdalen Island Qc, Kimberley (John) Agnew of Fredericton NB and Heather (Doug) VanWart of Quispamsis NB; two brothers; Ross (Austina) Gibson of Taxis River NB and Varney (Flo) Gibson of Fredericton NB; one sister; Eileen (Gregory) Greene of Fredericton; four grandchildren; David Ferris, Blake Ferris, Russell McCartney and Laura Rankin; two great grandchildren; Zackery, Steven McCartney and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by an infant sister; Cynthia Gibson; three brothers; Clarence, Stafford and Kenneth Gibson; four sisters; Phyllis Clowater, Lorena Hickey, Nellie Black and Marguerite Munn. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Hazel Morris-Harvey officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Nashwaak Bridge Branch # 80. Interment will take place at a later date.
