Westville - Jean Margaret MacLeod, 87, Westville passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Westville on January 30, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (MacKenzie) MacLeod. Jean retired from 33 years of teaching in 1978 and devoted her life to her family, church and community. Special thanks to the staff of Glen Haven Manor who cared her with respect and tenderness for the past 10 years. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Donna Llewallyn (Swan), Robert Swan, Holly Voice (Pepperell), Lloyd Pepperell and Brenda Bellinger (Pepperell). Jean was predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Swan, and Christine Pepperall and brothers Alan, John and Donald MacLeod. There will be no visitations. Her funeral service will be held two o’clock Wednesday from St. Paul United Church, Westville with the Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to any charitable organization. Services are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
