CONNELL, MARGUERITE DOW Marguerite Dow Connell of Northampton, wife of the late J. Henry Connell, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Dow) Gibson. Mrs. Connell was a schoolteacher and a devoted homemaker to her family. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Connell is survived by a daughter, Norma Dore of Southampton; three sons, Bert Connell (Dorothy) of Northampton, Charles Connell (Phyllis) of Hanwell, and John Connell (Rosalie) of Northampton; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Gary Davis of Bridgewater, Maine; a sister-inlaw, Laura Connell of Seattle, Washington; and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Connell was predeceased by a daughter, Arline Davis; a great grandson, Sammy Davis; son-in-law Neil Dore; sisters Mildred Cluff and Annie Montgomery; and by brothers Douglas and Donald Gibson. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the Scott Chapel. Rev. Fred Snyder will be officiating, with interment at a later date in the Kirk Cemetery, Northampton.
