SMITH, WILFRED G. The death of Wilfred G. Smith of Ripples occurred Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home. Born in Ripples, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Clara (Sparks) Smith. Wilfred is survived by four sons, Eric (Karen) of Moncton, NB, Warren (Cheryl) of Ripples, NB, Gerald (Judy) of Antonio, Texas and Alton (Donna) of Campbellton, NB; four daughters, Norma McNeill (Raymond) of Fredericton, NB, Roxanna DeWolfe (Maynard) of Ripples, NB, Joan Ackerson (Floyd) of Ripples, NB, and Marilyn Paterson (Ervine) of Bristol, NB; a sister Margaret (Peggy) Bustard of Fredericton, NB; 24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Wilfred was predeceased by his wife Elva (Drost) Smith in 1999; brothers, Allen, Albert, Porter and an infant brother Havelock; a sister Amanda Jamieson. Resting at the United Pentecostal Church, Ripples where the family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004 with Pastor S. Tompkins officiating. For those who wish donations made to the Church Mission Fund or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
