FREDERICK JAMES (JOHN) F. J. CARTWRIGHT
CARTWRIGHT, FREDERICK JAMES (JOHN) F. J. (John) Cartwright, of Harvey Station passed away March 8, 2004 at Pine Grove, Fredericton. Born in England on April 2, 1916, he was a son of the late Frederick and Thursa (Mapstone) Cartwright. John was a veteran of the Second World War, serving as a navigator with the Royal Air Force. For a period of time during the war he trained Royal Canadian Air Force navigators in Canada. He moved to Canada in the 1950's and was employed in Toronto as an accountant. Following his retirement John moved to New Brunswick where he was involved with his community as a board member for the Harvey Community Hospital and later with the Region 3 Hospital Board. He was also a volunteer consultant for the Federal Business Development Bank. John is survived by his wife, Vivienne; a son Paul Cartwright; grandchildren, Alexis, Vanessa, Hilary and Daniel and daughters-in-law, Mary Radford and Wendy Cartwright. He was predeceased by a son, David in 1990. There will be no funeral service, but the family will receive visitors to celebrate John's life on Thursday, March 11, 2004 from 2 until 8 p.m. at the home of Paul Cartwright, 305 Frog Lake Road, Harvey.
