MERRILL, CATHERINE B. The death of Catherine Bain (Stark) Merrill of Fredericton, wife of the late John R. (Jack) Merrill, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB on March 11, 2004. Born in Inverness, Scotland, she lived to be 80. Catherine is survived by one son J. Richard Merrill of Riverview; one daughter, Beverly Merrill (Haleigh Gullison) of Giants Glen; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Rebekah, and Amanda Gullison, Kirstyn Merrill; four great grandchildren, Joshua, Kaleigh, Jamal and Davonte; three brothers, William and Dennis Stark both of Scotland, James Stark of Chatam; three sisters, Alexanderina Watson, Jean Drysdale and Charlotte Allard all of England; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Catherine was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin and George Stark and one sister Marie. By request of the family there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, March 13 at 10 am. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Interment will be in the Stanley United Church Cemetery at a later date.
