POWELL, GORDON WINSTON At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on March 23, 2004 Gordon Winston Powell, age 88, of Royal Road passed away. Born in Taylor Village, NB, he was a son of the late Evans and Grace (Chapman) Powell. He served overseas during World War II with the 105th AntiTank Battery serving as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. He is survived by his wife Shirley; seven children Hilda Minor of Lorneville, Louise Maxwell and Lawrence of Lorneville, Ruth Ann Galbraith and Gordon of Westfield, Gerald and Alva of Saint John, Douglas and Linda of Riverview, Harold of Winnipeg, John and friend Lisa and son Alexander of Royal Road; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother John of Moncton; a sister Pauline Black of Florida. Predeceased by his parents; first wife Helen Sellers; brothers Frank and Fred; sisters Kathleen and Evelyn Fougere. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Bishop's Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements.
