HASTEY, VIOLET E. The death of Violet E. Hastey of St. Stephen, NB, occurred on March 24, 2004 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born April 13, 1928 in Lynnfield, NB (Charlotte County), she was the youngest daughter of Frank W. and J. Alberta (Marshall) Hastey. Violet is survived by one brother, Alward F. Hastey of St. Stephen, NB and two sisters, Laura A. Hastey of St. Stephen, NB and Julia I. Martin of Fredericton, NB. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7-9 on March 26, 2004. Funeral service on March 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linda Thomas from KirkMColl United Church officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Lynnfield Rural Cemetery.
