KIRBY, LEO The death of Leo Kirby, formerly of Green Hill, husband of the late Mary (Bennett) Kirby, occurred on Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Green Hill, he was the son of the late John and Amanda (Hawkes) Kirby. Leo is survived by two daughters, Doreen Leger, Leona McKay, both of Fredericton; two sons, Carl (Flora) Kirby, Fredericton, Gregory (Judy) Kirby, Green Hill; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Leo was predeceased by seven sisters, Margaret McCann, Mary Gourley, Celia Brideau, Gertrude LeBel, Phyllis Bourque, Jean MacDonald, Doris Young; four brothers, Fred, Gregory, James and Harry Kirby. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 2:30 pm from Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Cross Creek. The Rev. Ranall Ingalls will officiate. An interment will take place in Saint Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Cross Creek, at a later date. For those who wish donations made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
