MACKENZIE, DAVID RODNEY At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on March 31st, 2004 David Rodney MacKenzie of Fredericton passed away at the age of 63. Born in Bath, NB, he was the son of Glen and the late Elizabeth (Giberson) MacKenzie. He is survived by his children, John Gordon MacKenzie of Oakville, ON, and Leslie Anne MacKenzie of Waterloo, ON; one brother, Dr. Michael MacKenzie (Jerilyn) and his father Glen MacKenzie both of Fredericton, NB. Upon graduation from Fredericton High School where he played Varsity Basketball at the National level and was the valedictorian of the class of 1958, David attended NB Teachers College and UNB. He taught school in Montreal before commencing work with the Sun Life Insurance Company for 26 years. On retirement, David returned to Fredericton and was a valuable volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, April 1st, 2004 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 2nd, 2004 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow. Rev. Ralph Irving will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.mcadamsfh.com
