NEIL C. VANWART
VANWART, NEIL C. Neil C. VanWart of Fredericton passed away April 5, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Bear Island on January 29, 1922, he was a son of the late Leigh and Alice (Ingraham) VanWart. For a number of years Neil was employed as a soft drink syrup mixer with Evangeline and Gorham Beverages. Before his retirement he worked as a janitor in the post office on Queen Street and then later at the New Brunswick Legislature. During his time at the Legislature he often gave former premier Frank McKenna welcome advice on current events. He is survived by a sister, Lydia Ingraham, Jewetts Mills; a niece, Marion Ingraham, Jewetts Mills; a great niece, Maria Hachey, Fredericton and special friends, the Clark family. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Wednesday from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Rev. David McElhinney officiating. Interment will be later at Bear Island Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Clark, Mark Clark, Matthew Clark, Harold Love, Eldred Love and Murray Wilson.
